Injective partners with AltLayer to bring restaking security into inEVM
AltLayer is delighted to collaborate with superfast interoperable layer one blockchain Injective to provide the first-ever restaking security framework for on-chain inEVM applications. This means that with inEVM, users can leverage the security of both Injective and Ethereum, bringing the security of over $400 Billion in assets to the world of inEVM.
Injective at a Glance
Injective is a lightning-fast interoperable layer one blockchain optimized for Web3 finance applications. It provides developers with powerful plug-and-play modules for creating unmatched dApps. The native asset ‘INJ’ powers its rapidly growing ecosystem. Injective was incubated by Binance in 2018 and is backed by prominent investors, including Jump Crypto, Pantera, and Mark Cuban.
Hold up. . . what’s inEVM?
Injective’s inEVM enables Ethereum developers to build applications that can leverage Injective’s high-speed and near-zero fees while achieving composability across WASM/EVM.
It is part of Injective’s concurrent multi-VM ecosystem, which comprises WASM, inEVM, and inSVM.
As indicated in its name, inEVM enables smart contracts written for compilation to EVM bytecode to be deployed and integrated into the Injective ecosystem. Notably, Injective’s inEVM environment is inherently different from other EVM chains because it integrates Ethereum into the IBC ecosystem, representing a significant advancement in holistic composability. Thus, two-way data messaging exists between Injective’s WASM smart contracting layer and inEVM. Together, the unique qualities of inEVM deliver several high-leverage opportunities for builders.
- Deploy existing EVM-compatible applications on Injective
2. Access the liquidity and user bases of Injective, Solana, and Cosmos
3. Native Interoperability
- Inter and intra-VM interoperability (Wasm, SVM, EVM)
- Create Solidity apps that directly transact with WASM and/or inSVM apps
4. Horizontal Composability
- Access to Injective’s modular toolkit
- Leverage parallelized transaction execution and instant finality
inEVM has established itself as an infrastructure stack designed to hyperscale multi-VM development. This has been seen through integrations with notable technologies to further bolster effectiveness and capability, including the likes of Hyperlane, LayerZero, Celestia DA, Pyth, and now — AltLayer.

Where does AltLayer come in?
Putting our expertise into action, AltLayer’s MACH will bring restaking-based security to inEVM, benefiting applications running via inEVM.
AltLayer MACH solution provides faster finality to rollups by enabling operators to restake Ethereum-based assets to back any claims on the rollup state. It consists of a network of nodes constantly performing state validation in real time. Upon detection of an invalid state, a governance proposal will be initiated on-chain to alert everyone of the invalid state. If the proposal is approved, MACH’s circuit breaker mechanism will automatically halt all MACH-protected RPC services, protecting users from further malicious operations and enabling them to initiate the process of recalling the transaction altogether.
To do a deeper technical dive into how this is achieved across three distinct validity modes (pessimistic, optimistic, and validity-proof mode), take a look at our comprehensive article on MACH.

By bringing fast finality rollup services to inEVM, developers can tremendously benefit from MACH’s speed, security, and scalability. Plus, Injective users can transact confidently on inEVM, reassured that their funds are protected from malicious actors.
